While I am a pastor at New Covenant Community Church, everything on this blog should be considered my personal opinion. Opinions, conclusions, or other information expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views of New Covenant, my co-workers, or my staff. Don't blame them. This is all me.

i'd pick someone that is either recognized by all people, not just the Christian market, or someone that would draw a huge Christian crowd but whose music still sounds like something the secular market would listen too. So, not Kutless, not Plumb, not Jaci Velasquez, but maybe U2 or Coldplay...just messin'.
Switchfoot was great, Tye Tribbett & GA would mix it up, Leeland, Relient K, David Crowder, Delirious (hey they played at Celebration in Clovis), Bebo, Pillar, POD...

Depends heavily upon your budget. You have to weight the need to "sell-out" with the need to not lose your shirt and make the most of ministry dollars.
Casting Crowns and Mercy Me are your best bets for a sell out, but, look forward to spending tens of thousands and wading through a long and detailed rider to get them.
A bill of many smaller artists (like Bethany Dillon, Aaron Shust etc) might fill the place enough and cost you less.
That's my 2 cents anyway.

Thanks for the input, Shaun.
The great thing about the fair is that they deal with the riders, $$$, etc. So we don't really have to worry about ministry dollars.
Their issue is, "is it worth doing?" If we pack the place out, it communicates to them that there is a large enough market to continue doing a "Faith Night" on one of the main stages at the fair (something that is currently up for grabs).
I appreciate your insight as a touring artist. Thanks!
