Church Update 2
Randy posted these pictures on his blog from our Grand Opening. Randy is an incredible Lighting Designer and Technical Director - the boy knows his stuff! I had this cool idea for using draping on the back wall. Randy took that idea and turned into these cool "flags" that he hung at different depths on stage and then up-lighted.
The effect was stunning... these pictures don't do it justice.
It was a great morning!

That lighting does look really good. What kind of material are the panels? That new place looks great!

Tyler...
Thanks for the compliment. That means a lot coming from you - I'll pass it on to Randy.
The front panels are cotton duck, the back ones are a poly blend.
The pictures don't really show it, but the 4 back panels are periwinkle, then the next three in front of that (positions 1, 3, 5) are a butter yellow, and the last two in front of that (positions 2 & 4) are almost an olive green (not quite as dark).
We did the uplights with basic pars - no gel, but I'm thinking we might add an additional light to each in the future for another feel. I'll leave that up to Randy, though... he's the expert (I'm just the pretty face).
Later, bro!

We actually bought 10 LED pars and they are awesome. They never use gels and you can change the color like a moving light. They have been huge for programming and just shear time management. No more gels baby!

The front yellow ones are cloth? They look like a great pine. I assumed they were wood because they don't seem to move in ripples (which is good;).
