It's Like Watching a Train Wreck...
There's a thing in music called intonation. Basically it has to do with singing or playing in tune. Apparently Ms. Hedger hasn't heard of this concept. In fact, she may be so out of tune that she is a totally different key.
But you gotta love those dance moves!
Bonus question for TBB readers: "Who is the artist that recorded the version of the song she is playing?"
First reader to answer correctly gets a $10 Starbucks gift card.

Are you looking for John Williams (and Boston Pops Orchestra)? I know he did some of the Orchestration for Star Wars and I want Starbucks;).

that's a train-wreck alright!

at least her playing is better than her dance moves

Hey Nerd-Mom...
Congratulations for being the first guesser! Unfortunately you missed on the guess.
While John Williams did compose the original piece, neither Maestro Williams nor the Boston Pops (or the London Philharmonic, for that matter) recorded this version. Williams also did not pen the arrangement.
Thanks for the guess. "E" for effort!

Could it be from "Star Wars And Other Galactic Funk" by MECO?

Hey INDY...
Another great guess - but wrong. And no, I'm not gonna cut you any slack because you are a cancer survivor.
Love ya, man!

First of all, I'm not getting much mileage out of the cancer card anymore -- and it's not just you -- and I'm not complaining. Second, I can't figure this out and it's really bugging me. Seems like it's something the Commadores or maybe Cool And The Gang would have put on an old album as a filler -- and yet it's got that Love Boat "feel good thang" going for it, kinda interesting.....
Lots of love to go with my confusion back at ya. indy

I believe that would be "The Tune Robbers" Mr. Two Bonde Boys.

Hey Chad...
Ha ha ha... very funny....

Hmmm...I woulda gone with Meco at first too.
How about Hollywood Symphony Orchestra? I did find a similar recording by them.
Doesn't seem like who you'd be looking for, but it's worth a shot!

I wasn't joking. That arrangement was on "Tune Robbers" album entitled "The Tune Robbers Play Hits of the 70's"

Well I did some more research. The Tune Robbers is just a foreign label of compilations (legal or illegal, I don't know). Search for Star Wars and Tune Robbers in Itunes and you can listen to the sample. However, it is nothing more than the Meco arrangement on the CD.
I have to agree with Dave and Bobby...that has to be Meco. I thought Maynard at first, but it doesn't scream enough, however you did make me dig out my Maynard album to double check... Its gotta be Meco.

OK... I did some more research and Indy, you were right!
It takes a big man to admit they are wrong and... well... I'm a big man.
The Starbucks GC is yours! Would you like to pick it up on Sunday? Congratulations! I guess the caner card works after all.

But I'm still curious...what was the answer you were originally looking for?
