I Have a Fox
Yep... it turns out that we have a fox that hangs out in our backyard. A couple of weeks ago, our youngest blonde boy spotted it while playing with this friend. Mrs. Two Blonde Boys assured him that it was probably just a large squirrel (growing fat off my grapes, apricots, and plums - the thief).
Then yesterday, Mrs. TBB - my fox - spotted the other fox! I went home looking for it, but it was gone over the fence by that time.
This morning, however, I met our fox while out at the pool equipment. He was hanging out on the back fence, and we had a nice chat. I wish I had brought my camera.
Our fox is a kit fox. The kit fox, it turns out, is the 2nd smallest dog in the world (the Fennec is the smallest. It is about 30 inches long, and about 1/3-1/2 of its length is its tail. It is also on the endangered species list, which means I won't be able to eat it.
One good thing about the kit fox is that it eats mice, so hopefully it will keep the mouse population down at our house.
I'll try to get a picture tomorrow...
