Great New Restaurant
I had lunch at a great new restaurant yesterday, Rumba. Rumba is a Latin fusion restaurant. We were greeted by the chef ad owner, Chef Mario. I chose the tapas for lunch and enjoyed Ceviche, Pork Empanadas, and Sweet Potato and Chicken Bombas.
The others with me enjoyed other items from the tapas menus, including Camarones al Mojo (prawns in garlis), sauteed Bananas and Sweet Plaintains, Portobello Mushrroms (sauteed in Marsala wine), and Bombas with Plantain and Pork and Yuca and Shrimp.
The lunch started with fresh Yuca chips, served with a delicious creamy dip that had a bite - a nice departure from the traditional chips and salsa.
I wish I had brought my camera so that you could see not only how good the food looked, but how it was artfully presented. It was really a great lunch experience. My only criticism was that the service was a little slow, although I attribute that mainly to the fact that the restaurant is so new.
If you're in the Fresno area, give Rumba Latin Fusion a try (open every day except Monday for lunch and dinner).

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rumba! It's pretty new here in Colorado Springs. Their Mango Salad is the best restarant meal I've ever eaten.

John and I love Rumba! It's fun to go on Friday or Saturday night to listen to the jazz band, Sunday's at Joe's.
