Worship Confessional: 10.05.08
Ever have one of those days when you were totally prepared but felt totally unprepared? This was one of those days when I felt absolutely aware of my inadequacy before God.
The worship songs were great - we did two of my favorites: From the Inside Out and Jesus Paid it All. I don't know how the set played in the room. Like I said, I was in a weird place this morning.
We started a new sermon series called "Tough Stuff." For this series, we are using video bumpers. Check this week's out on YouTube HERE (watch it in high quality).
Anyway, here is the set (with iTunes links). You can also view the entire 2nd service on the NewCov Production Mogulus channel...
- Hosanna (Starfield version)
- From the Inside Out (Hillsong United)
- Jesus Paid it All (North Point version)
- Take My Life (Chris Tomlin)
- Your Love, Oh Lord (Third Day)

I am sure it sounded great!! You are to hard on yourself. Looking forward to hearing your worship set this coming Sunday. I am so excited to come home for a little visit! See you soon.

Hey,
Looks like a great setlist. I can relate to those kind of mornings. I had one a few weeks ago where I just didn't feel myself at all.
Thanks for being part of the Sunday Setlists, too!
I've added your blog to my blogroll, would you consider adding http://www.fredmckinnon.com and http://www.theworshipcommunity.com to yours as well?
Thanks!
For the Kingdom,
Fred McKinnon

oh my gosh, I LOVE 'Your Love, Oh Lord'. Thanks for reminding me of that song!!!
I've had Sundays that felt like what you're describing. After I'm through it, I end up rolling my eyes at myself (no small feat, mind you) b/c it turns out that I had to learn once again that Worship doesn't reeeeeally depend on ME.
Thanks for the blog comment!

Stanfill's version of Jesus Paid It All has become one of my all time favorite tunes.
Great After Effects work in the Bumper!

I have certainly had days like that. It's disconcerting as a worship leader but it usually amazes me that someone will say "I really connected with God" when I felt like I had the emotional flu!!!
