Please Do This 60-Second Favor....
One of my dear friends is auditioning for a shot at his dream job. Michael Hyatt wrote about it elegantly on his blog (text below). Will you please do me this small favor to help my friend: please go - right now - and watch his short video and vote his video your favorite (make sure you check your e-mail to confirm your vote).
Take it away, Michael...
My good friend and neighbor, Randy Elrod, is trying to land his dream job. I want to help him, and I want to ask for your help as well. Why would you do this? Because it is an opportunity for you to experience first-hand how you might be able to use social media in yet another aspect of your business.
First, let me give you some background. Murphy-Goode is a family-owned winery located within Sonoma Country’s Alexander Valley. They are looking for someone who really knows how to use Web 2.0, including blogs, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube , so that they can help the company get the word out about their wines. As the co-creator of LifeWork 2.0, Randy is the perfect candidate.
To find just the right person, Murphy-Goode created a contest. They have asked each applicant to create a 60-second video and upload it to the contest site. They are then asking each applicant to demonstrate their social media influence by having their friends and followers vote for their video. Getting the most votes doesn’t guarantee a job, but it does help get an interview.
This is where you come in. Please take 70 seconds to complete these four simple steps:
- Watch Randy’s very cool video on the Murphy-Goode web site.
- Enter your email address to vote for Randy.
- Wait for the verification email and click on the link inside the message body. Note: Your vote will not count until you do this!
- Tweet this post (or mention it on your Facebook page).
